Murder Investigation
Rochester, NY — The Rochester Police Department’s Major Crimes Homicide Unit is investigating a murder that occurred in the parking lot of the corner store at 238 Webster Ave.
At approximately 8:30 p.m., the victim rode his bicycle into the parking lot. At about the same time, the suspect entered the same parking lot from a different direction. The suspect approached the victim and immediately shot him multiple times. After the shooting, the suspect fled the area on foot.
The victim, a male in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
There are currently no suspects in custody, and homicide detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the murder.
Investigators do not believe this was a random act of violence.
