Downtown Trespass Arrests

Rochester, NY - On October 12, around 3:30am, Officers responded to the vacant RG&E building, at 89 East Avenue, for the report of a burglary. Responding Officers, with the assistance of K9, methodically cleared the first 10 floors of the building before locating the two suspects on the 11th floor. They were safely taken into custody and found to be in possession of a set of bolt cutters and a crow bar. The preliminary investigation found that the suspects had broke through a fence, locks, and tore a board off a window to gain access and explore the vacant building.

An 18-year old Town of Hilton and a 17-year old Town of Greece resident were issued appearance tickets charging them with Criminal Trespass in the 3rd Degree, Criminal Mischief in the 4th Degree, and Possession of Burglar Tools.
