Two Pittsford Men Plead Guilty
Rochester, N.Y.-U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo announced today that Guodeng Chen, and Didi Huang, both of Pittsford, NY, pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Frank P. Geraci, Jr to transportation of stolen goods in interstate commerce, which carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison. On April 8, 2022, Chen and Huang caused 45,000 pounds of stolen, used cooking oil to be shipped from the Western District of New York to a refinery located in Erie, Pennsylvania. Chen


Murder Arrest
Rochester, NY - On August 16, 2026 the body of 22-year-old Munga Elocho was found in a wooded area off the Genesee River Trail near Vincent St. He had been shot multiple times, at a different location, and his body was dumped where it was found. Hoeltzer Street Gun Arrest
Rochester, NY - On September 5, around 1:45am, Officers were monitoring a crowd that had formed in the 700 block of N. Clinton Avenue. During this time, Officers gained information leading them to believe that a male in the crowd was in possession of a firearm. Locust Street Stabbing
Rochester, NY - Around 10:40am, this morning, we responded to an address on Locust St for the report of someone stabbed. Upon arrival, Officers located two makes fighting in the street, one of whom had a puncture wound to the torso. The preliminary investigation found that the males are known to each other and during an altercation, the victim was stabbed. Brookdale Avenue Gun Arrest
Rochester, NY - Around 2:30pm, yesterday, Officers were conducting a STRIVE (Statewide Targeted Reductions in Intimate Partner Violence) detail in order to apprehend 45-year old Travis Mack. Mack was wanted in relation to a menacing incident in which he allegedly pointed a handgun at someone in Genesee Section, Criminal Contempt 2nd from Clinton Section, and two different bench warrants. Prior Felon Arrested on Gun and Drug Charges
Rochester, N.Y.-U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo announced today that Javaris Corbit, 36, of Rochester, NY, was arrested and charged by criminal complaint with possession with intent to distribute 400 grams or more of fentanyl and 500 grams or more of cocaine, possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, and being a felon in possession of a firearm, which carry a mandatory minimum penalty of 15 years in prison, a maximum of life, and a fine of $10,000,00


Clifford Avenue Gun Arrest
Rochester, NY - Just after midnight, this morning, Officers in the 1200 block of Clifford Avenue observed a 17-year old male walking into a corner store. Officers recognized the male due to his house recently having been struck by gunfire. As Officers went to speak with the male in the store, they observed an extended handgun magazine protruding from his sweatpants pocket. Further investigation found that prior to the Officers entering the store, the male had hidden a handgun


Murder Investigation Update
Rochester, NY - The man shot and killed at 371 Hague St on 8/30/26 has been identified as 64-year-old Ronald Leonard Jr, City of Rochester resident. There are no suspects in custody and no additional information to release at this time. ORIGINAL NOTIFY At about 2:15 pm, on 10/30/26, Rochester police officers responded t0 the 300 block of Hague St. for the report of shots fired. Stephan Jefferson Sentenced to 40 Years
Rochester, NY- On Monday, August 31, 2026, New York State Supreme Court Justice Stephen Miller sentenced 23-year-old Stephan Jefferson to 40 years in the New York State Department of Corrections. He previously pled guilty to Manslaughter in the 1st Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd Degree for shooting and killing Dwayne Hall.
