Warwick Street Incident: Update
Update: The witness that complained of additional injuries was treated and released from Strong Hospital this morning. Besides being treated for dog bites, a small metallic object, potentially a bullet fragment was removed from his leg. As is standard protocol, the incident remains under investigation by the Rochester Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit and Professional Standards Section. Rochester, NY - On 6/17/26, at approximately 7:30 p.m. the Rochester Police Department responded to the 100 block of Dewey Ave. for the report of a male armed with a firearm, threatening individuals. Indictment Unsealed Charging Daycare Provider
Rochester, NY- Wednesday, June 17, 2026, a Monroe County Grand Jury indictment was unsealed in front of New York State Supreme Court Justice Judith Sinclair, charging 31-year- old Casey Raetz with seven counts of Assault in the 2nd Degree and six counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child for the physical abuse of five children. Rochester, NY - On 6/16/26 at approximately 10:31 p.m., the Rochester Police Department responded to the 100 block of Glendale Park for the report of an individual being assaulted by at least one suspect. Lyell Avenue Shooting Arrest
Rochester, NY - On June 9, 2026, around 4:30am, Officers responded to the 300 block of Lyell Avenue for the report of a male shot. Officers located the victim, a male in his 40s, suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the lower body. He was transported by ambulance to Strong Hospital for treatment. Rochester, NY - Just after 1am, Officers responded to the 100 block of Kirkland Road for the report of two males fighting over a shotgun with a dog trying to bite people. Rochester, NY- On Thursday, June 11, 2026, 24-year-old Markus Graham pled guilty to Manslaughter in the 1st Degree for killing Jesse Jamison. At approximately 10:40 p.m. on January 29, 2025, Rochester Police Officers and Rochester Firefighters responded to Coulton Place in the City of Rochester for a report of a vehicle crash involving a car on fire. Convicted Felon Going to Prison on New Child Pornography Charge
Rochester, N.Y.-U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo announced today that Brett Bedford, 42, of Rochester, NY, was convicted of possession of child pornography by a person having a prior conviction relating to the possession of child pornography, was sentenced to serve 120 months in prison by U.S. District Judge Charles J.
