Rochester, NY— the Rochester Police Department’s Major Crimes Homicide Unit has arrested 35- year-old Alonzo Graham in connection with the fatal shooting of Brandon Davis on October 14, 2026.

At approximately 8:30 p.m. on October 14, 35-year-old Brandon Davis was shot and killed while riding his bicycle into the parking lot of a corner store located at 238 Webster Avenue. During the course of the investigation, Homicide Detectives determined the shooting stemmed from an altercation earlier that evening between Davis and Graham, identifying Graham as the shooter.

As the investigation progressed, detectives developed information indicating that Graham was operating a narcotics operation out of a residence on Helena Street. In collaboration with the Greater Rochester Area Narcotics Enforcement Team (GRANET), investigators executed a search warrant for the Helena Street location.

Earlier today, the Rochester Police Departments SWAT team, in conjunction with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team, executed the narcotics search warrant. Upon entry, Graham attempted to flee by jumping out of a window but was quickly apprehended. Inside the residence and on Graham's person, officers’ recovered cocaine packaged for street sale, along with digital scales and drug packaging materials.

Alonzo Graham has been charged with the following:

  • Murder in the 2nd Degree

  • Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd Degree

  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree

  • Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd Degree – two counts

Graham is currently being held awaiting arraignment in Rochester City Court, scheduled for tomorrow morning at 9:30 a.m.
