Murder Investigation

Rochester, NY - On September 18, 2026 at about 10:00 pm officers were called to the 400 block of Garson Ave. for the report of a person shot in the street. Upon arrival they located a 40- year-old male suffering from at least one gunshot wound to the upper body. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

At this time the motive is unknown and there are no suspects in custody. It is also unknown if the murder is related to the assault shooting that occurred around the corner at 1300 E. Main St. about 10 minutes prior.
