Murder Arrest

Rochester, NY - On November 18, 2025 at about 6:45 p.m. officers responded to the gas station at thecorner of St. Paul St and Norton St for the report of a shooting. 36-year-old WillieMayhall was in the front driver’s seat suffering from at least one gunshot wound to the upper body. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim was alone in his vehicle and parked at the gas pumps. The suspect approached the vehicle on foot and immediately began shooting multiple gunshots into the vehicle. The suspect fled the area on foot after the shooting. Homicide detectives were ultimately able to identify the suspect as 19-year-old Gemarion Parson.

Parson was arrested on December 29, 2025 for possessing a loaded gun. He was released from custody. He was arrested again on January 15, 2026, for an armed car jacking. He was remanded into custody, where he has remained since.

The evidence gathered in the murder of Mayhall was presented to a Monroe County Grand Jury. This morning the indictment was unsealed and Parson was charged with Murder in the 2nd Degree and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd Degree.
