Lyell Avenue Fire Update

Rochester, NY - On June 7, 2026, the Rochester Fire and Police Departments responded to the Pallet Express facility at 1069 Lyell Avenue for the report of a large fire. The Arson Task Force, made up of the Rochester Police Department, Fire Department, and ATF, immediately began investigating the cause of the fire. At this point, the fire is currently being investigated as an arson. Although some reporting has indicated the fire as being electrical in origin, our preliminary investigation does not support this theory. Additionally, efforts are currently underway to locate a person of interest in the case.
