Joseph Avenue Gun Arrest

Rochester, NY(9.11.26)- Around 1:45am, this morning, Officers stopped a 2012 Nissan Altima in the 500 block of Joseph Avenue for violation(s) of the Vehicle and Traffic Law. During the subsequent stop, Officers observed an extended magazine sticking out from next to the driver. The driver was safely removed from the vehicle and a loaded, 9mm, “ghost gun”, with an extended magazine, was recovered. 19-year old Ramel Johnson was transported to the Monroe County Jail and released after being arraigned in Rochester City Court.

Ramel Johnson, age 19, is charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd Degree, 3rd and 4th Degrees, as well as violations of the Vehicle and Traffic Law.
