Voting Then and Now: Who, What, When, Where and How

An Election Education Public Forum:

Several local community groups are hosting an election education forum on April 23, 2026 (Thursday evening) at Third Presbyterian Church (4 Meigs, corner of Meigs and East). Speakers will address voting issues, including Rochester’s historical involvement in expanding voting rights, the reliability of voting, registration and voting procedures, experience of poll workers, and electing judges in NY. We will have a voting machine present for demonstration. The five speakers will each include time for individual Q&A, as well as a panel Q&A at the end.

Doors open at 5:30pm

Light refreshments will be served.

When: April 23, 2026, from 5:30 to 8:00pm

Where: Third Presbyterian Church, 4 Meigs Street (corner of Meigs Street and East Avenue)

What:  Non-partisan public forum on voting – from registration to voting options to finding more ways to become involved

Who: Speakers from the Monroe County Board of Elections, the Susan B. Anthony Museum and House, the League of Women Voters – Rochester Metro Area, together with a retired County Judge and an experienced Poll Worker, will share voting and election information with the public.
