Bank Robbery Arrest

Rochester, NY - On August 1, 2026 a suspect entered the ESL Bank located at 786 N. Goodman St. and demanded cash from a teller. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, he fled the bank on foot.
After an investigation by the Rochester Area Major Crimes Task Force, the suspect was identified as 59-year-old Terry Manuel, City of Rochester resident. Manuel is on Parole for a 2004 Murder 2nd conviction. After the conviction he was sentenced 25-life, and was subsequently released in October of 2024.
Terry Manuel was taken into custody this afternoon when he showed up for a pre- scheduled Parole meeting at the Parole Office.
He was been charged with Robbery in the 3rd Degree and Grand Larceny in the 3rd Degree and is expected to be arraigned this evening in CAB Court.
