The Black Cinema Series Romance "Love, Brooklyn"

ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- The Black Cinema Series at 2:00 p.m. Sept. 21 (Sunday) will present the film "Love, Brooklyn" at the Little Theatre (Theatre 1), located at 240 East Ave., in Rochester 's East End District. A debut feature film for director Rachael Holder, the movie is a modern romance with lead actor Andre Holland. Others with starring roles include Nicole Beharie, DeWanda Wise and Roy Wood Jr.
The motion picture is about a writer (Holland, "Moonlight") navigating complicated relationships with his ex, an art gallery owner (Beharie, "The Morning Show"), and his current lover, a newly-single mother (Wise, "She's Gotta Have It"), with the support of his best friend (Wood, "The Daily Show").
After the movie, there will be a post screening discussion. Moderator JESSICA LEWIS, CEO of Lá Lew Public Relations, will be joined by WXIR's RAQUEL WALKER, co-host of Luv 'N Situationships. Other panelists TBA. They will be posted soon on RABJ's Facebook page and The Little's website.
Tickets are available online in advance, at the box office during open hours, and at the door on the day of the event. Group rates available in advance only and only through the Little Theatre's business office. Doors open at 1:30 p.m., with the introductions and the motion picture screening beginning at 2:00 p.m.
The Black Cinema Series, a partnership between the Little Theatre and the Rochester Association of Black Journalists (RABJ), has been highlighting Black stories since its founding in February 2017. The monthly film series is supported in part by Excellus BlueCross BlueShield.
