Murder Arrest - 37 Roth St

Rochester, NY - Earlier this morning, members of the United States Marshals Service Violent Felony Fugitive Task Force took 46-year-old Diego Pizarro into custody for the stabbing death of Dynell Babers-White.

Pizarro and Babers-White do not appear to be related but are both believed to reside at 37 Roth St.

It is alleged that on September 21 at about 8:30 p.m., the two became involved in an argument that escalated and resulted in Pizarro stabbing Babers-White twice with a knife.

Diego Pizarro has been charged with Murder in the Second Degree and it is anticipated

he will be arraigned in CAB court today at 5:00 pm.

ORIGINAL NOTIFY:

On September 21, 2026 at about 8:30 pm occupants of 37 Roth St. called 911 to report an unresponsive person inside the house. Emergency personnel arrived and found 28-year- old Dynell Babers-White inside suffering from at least one stab wound to the upper- body. Officers administered emergency first aid and Babers-White was rushed to URMC by AMR. He was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

Detectives are in the process of determining the circumstances leading up to the stabbing of Babers-White, but it is believed this was an isolated incident.

Babers-White lived at the residence with other family members.
