Rochester, NY - On September 30th, 2026, at approximately 1:45 am, officers responded to 132 Otis St. for the report of shots fired. When officers arrived, they found 48-year-old John Lacy, City of Rochester resident, lying in the driveway of the residence suffering from at least one gunshot wound to his torso. He was rushed to URMC by AMR and died shortly after arrival.


Lacy did not live at the Otis St. address, but has friends/associates in the neighborhood. The motive behind the shooting is unknown at this time and there are no suspects in custody.
