Rochester, NY - On 9/30/26 at approximately 1:27 a.m., 37-year-old Felicia Guy called 911 to report that her 2-year-old son was unconscious and experiencing abnormal breathing. During the 911 call, she stated that he had hit his head approximately 20 minutes earlier.

Emergency personnel arrived on scene, found the child unconscious, and transported him to URMC. Medical personnel and responding officers immediately observed multiple injuries to the 2-year-old that were indicative of physical abuse. He remains in critical condition at the hospital.

In addition to her 2-year-old son, Felicia Guy’s 1-year-old daughter was also present in the apartment. The child was also found to have injuries indicative of physical abuse. She was transported to the hospital and has since been released into the care of Child Protective Services.

Major Crimes Special Victims Unit investigators, along with our partners from the Monroe County District Attorney’s Office and Child Protective Services, were immediately called in to investigate.

As a result of the investigation, Felicia Guy has been charged with:

  • Assault in the 1st Degree for subjecting her 2-year-old son to physical abuse, resulting in a severe traumatic brain injury, subdural hemorrhaging, significant facial bruising and swelling, andskin injuries, including bruises, scratches, and adult bite marks.

  • Assault in the 2nd Degree for subjecting her 1-year-old daughter to physical abuse, resulting in physical injuries consisting of numerous bruises and abrasions to her face, lips, back, and legs, as well as approximately nine adult-sized bite marks.

This remains an ongoing investigation, and additional charges may be considered by a Monroe County Grand Jury.

Felicia Guy is scheduled to be arraigned on the aforementioned charges in Rochester City Court at 9:30 a.m. this morning.
