Morgan Street Menacing and Gun Arrests

Rochester, NY - Around 9:40pm, last night, Officers responded to Morgan Street for a neighbor dispute. The preliminary investigation found that during an argument amongst neighbors, both sides called additional people over and the argument continued outside. At some point during all of this, it is alleged that both 24-year old Ashley Perez and 25-year old Ashley Evans made threats with a handgun before fleeing in a 2014 Honda.
Officers located the Honda in the area of Jefferson Avenue and Tremont Street, where they attempted a traffic stop. The vehicle fled and a short pursuit, lasting several minutes, ended when the vehicle stopped near the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and Brown Street. Both suspects were safely detained and a loaded Ruger 9mm handgun was recovered from the vehicle.
The suspects were transported to the Monroe County Jail and charged as follows:
Ashley Perez, age 24, is charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd Degree, and Menacing in the 2nd Degree.
Ashley Evans, age 25, is charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd Degree, and Menacing in the 2nd Degree.
