Assault Against an Officer Arrest

Rochester, NY - On August 1, around 8:30pm, an Officer working a traffic post outside of the Puerto Rican Festival observed 37- year old Kevin Giordano park his motorcycle illegally in front of 290 E. Main Street. During the ensuing conversation, Giordano became agitated and made a comment about hitting the Officer. He then started the bike and drove forward, over an Officer’s foot and into his leg, knocking him over. Giordano was removed from the bike and safely taken into custody. Thankfully, the Officer sustained only minor injuries.

Kevin Giordano, age 37, is charged with Assault in the 2nd Degree, Reckless Endangerment 2nd, Resisting Arrest, and multiple Vehicle and Traffic Law Violations.
