Wellington Avenue Shooting Arrests

Rochester, NY - On March 9, around 6pm, Officers responded to the 100 block of Wellington Avenue for the report of a male shot. Officers located a 17-year old male suffering from a least one gunshot wound to the upper body. He was transported to Strong Hospital, where he was rushed into surgery for serious injuries. He has since been released from this hospital and is currently in custody on unrelated charges.
The preliminary investigation found that the shooting potentially stemmed from an ongoing feud.
On March 20, the United States Marshal’s Task Force located 20-year old Ke’sean Chung leaving an apartment in Geneva, NY. He was safely taken into custody and transported to the Monroe County Jail.
This morning, the United States Marshal’s Task Force located 18-year old Jha’Izes Reid during a traffic stop on West Henrietta Road. He was safely taken into custody and transported to the Monroe County Jail.
Ke’Sean Chung and Jha’Izes Reid have been charged with Attempted Murder in the 2nd Degree, Assault in the 1st Degree, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd Degree.
