Walmart Menacing a Police Officer Arrest:

On August 15, around 4pm, an Officer and Detective were detailed to Walmart, 1490 Hudson Ave. They attempted to stop 32-year old Mack Martin for having stolen property from the store. Officers retrieved the stolen property from Mack and advised him that he was under arrest. Rather than comply, Mack began to resist arrest and pulled out a pocketknife while threatening the Officers. With assistance from a Taser, Mack was safely taken into custody and the knife recovered. During Mack’s resistance, a Detective sustained an upper body injury that he was treated for and released from a local hospital. The suspect was transported to the hospital for treatment and then the Monroe County Jail.


Martin Mack, age 32, was charged with Menacing a Police Officer, Robbery in the 1st Degree, Assault in the 2nd Degree, Resisting Arrest, and Petit Larceny. He was additionally charged with two outstanding bench warrants as follows:


Trespass from an incident on May 7, 2024. This was his third time arrested for having a bench warrant relating to this incident.


Menacing 2nd and Criminal Impersonation from an incident on March 19, 2024 in which he allegedly threatened a store employee with a machete. This was his second time having a bench warrant relating to this case.
