Vincent Street Burglary Arrest

Rochester, NY - Around 5am, this morning, Officers responded to Jorshimal Jewelry on Vincent St for the report of an alarm activation and a male inside the store stealing jewelry. While checking the building, Officers were alerted to the suspect yelling for help at a broken rear window. Officers found the male bleeding significantly from a laceration to his arm and immediately applied a tourniquet. AMR ambulance transported the male to Strong Hospital, where he was quickly brought into surgery for life-threatening injuries.

The preliminary investigation found that it appears the suspect entered the location from the roof of the building and emptied multiple display cases of jewelry, approximately $60,000 worth, into a canvas bag.

Due to the suspect’s medical condition, he has not been identified and charges will be determined and filed once appropriate.
