St. Paul Street Gun Arrest

Rochester, NY - Around 5pm, last night, Officers responded to the 600 block of St Paul Street for the report of a menacing. While enroute to the call, Officers located the suspect male walking in the 800 block of St Paul Street. Officers detained him and found him to be in possession a .40 caliber Glock handgun, which was loaded with 14 rounds.
The preliminary investigation found that the suspect, 24-year old Marcus King, was in a vehicle with his ex- girlfriend when an argument ensued. During the argument, he allegedly punched her in the face and threatened her with a handgun, all in front of a 2-year old child. Additionally, it was learned that the victim had an Order of Protection against the suspect, prohibiting him from having contact with her.
King, who cannot legally possess a handgun in New York State, was transported to the Monroe County Jail. He was arraigned this morning in Rochester City Court and held on $25,000 bail.
Marcus King, age 24, is charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd Degree, Aggravated Criminal Contempt, Assault in the 3rd Degree, Menacing in the 2nd Degree, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
