Ronnie Brooks Arraigned on Kidnapping in the 1st Degree

Rochester, NY- On Thursday, January 8, 2026, 29-year-old Ronnie Brooks was arraigned on new charges for multiple sexual assaults between October 29, 2025 and November 27, 2025.
Ronnie Brooks was indicted by the grand jury on one count of Kidnapping in the 1st Degree as a Sexually Motivated Felony, eight counts of Predatory Sexual Assault in in violation of Section 130.95(1)(b), eight counts on Predatory Sexual Assault in violation of Section 130.95(2), Strangulation in the 2nd Degree, two counts of Rape in the 1st Degree in violation of 130.35(2)(a), two counts of Rape in the 1st Degree in violation of 130.35(3)(a), Attempted Rape in the 1st Degree, two counts of Rape in the 3rd Degree in violation of 130.25(6), two counts of Rape in the 3rd Degree in violation of 130.25(6), three counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, six counts of Sexual Abuse in the 1st Degree, one count of Attempted Sexual Abuse in the 1st Degree, two counts of Public Lewdness in violation of 245.00(a) and one count of Public Lewdness in violation of 245.00(b)(1).
These charges involve eight identified victims. This remains an ongoing investigation by the Rochester Police Department Major Crimes Special Victims Unit.
The case is being prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Mikael Pelkey and Assistant District Attorney James Nguyen, both of the Special Victims Unit.
Ronnie Brooks is scheduled to be back in court in front of Monroe County Court Judge Michael Ansaldi on March 19, 2026. He is currently remanded in the Monroe County Jail.
