Rochester, NY - Mayor Malik D. Evans announced a new round of funding for arts programming and art projects through the City’s ArtsBloom program. Local artists and small arts organizations are encouraged to submit proposals.
“Rochester has a long and proud history of creativity throughout our neighborhoods, institutions, and people,” Evans said. “The arts help tell our story, bring us together, and make our city stronger. Every resident should have access to the arts, and we must continue supporting the local artists and organizations that enrich our community. ArtsBloom is one way we invest in that legacy and ensure creativity continues to thrive across our city.”
To qualify for an ArtsBloom grant, programming or projects must fall into one or more of four categories: arts education, literary arts, performing arts, and/or visual arts. Three funding options are available, and projects must be located within city limits.
In its first three years, ArtsBloom has sponsored or co-sponsored 20 projects in the city and programs, enabling Rochester arts organizations to offer free cultural events, art exhibitions, printed works and performances. The program also supports the city’s ongoing implementation of the Arts + Culture section of the Rochester 2034 Comprehensive Plan.
Proposals for ArtsBloom 2026 are due by 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, March 15, 2026.
