At approximately 12:15 this morning, officers responded to the 700 block of Parsells Avenue for the report of a male shot. Upon arrival, a 16 year old male city-resident was located with at least one gunshot wound to his lower body. He was transported by AMR to Strong Memorial Hospital where his injuries were determined to be non-life threatening.
While investigating this shooting, officers heard gunshots in the distance and subsequently responded to a shot-spotter activation in the 200 block of Melville Street at approximately 12:50am. As officers were conducting a preliminary assessment of that scene, a 24 year old male was dropped off by private vehicle at Rochester General Hospital with a gunshot wound to his lower body. This victim was found to have been shot on Melville Street. His injuries were also discovered to be non-life threatening.
There are no suspects in custody at this time. Detectives and Officers continue to investigate both incidents and have no information to suggest they are related. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
