North Goodman Shooting Arrest

Rochester, NY- On October 6, just before 9pm, Officers responded to Goodman Plaza for the report of a male that had entered a store claiming to have been shot but then left. A short time later, a male in his 30s arrived at Rochester General Hospital suffering from non-life threatening gunshot wound(s) to the upper body. The preliminary investigation found that there was an altercation in the parking lot of Goodman Plaza, during which the suspect shot the victim before fleeing in a vehicle.
Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Section were able to identify the suspect as 26-year old Christopher Thacker. Yesterday, Detectives received information that Thacker was in the Canandaigua, New York. Detectives coordinated with the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, who located Thacker and safely took him into custody.
Christopher Thacker, age 26, is charged with Assault in the 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd Degree, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd Degree.
