Rochester, NY- On June 29, around 11:30pm, Officers responded to 1730 N. Goodman Street (King and Queen Cantina) for the report of shots fired. Around 20 minutes later, a male in his 20s arrived at Strong Hospital suffering from a gunshot wound to the torso. Thanks to the medical staff at Strong Hospital, that wound was determined to be non-life threatening.
The preliminary investigation found that there was a commotion outside the bar that led to shots fired.
Detectives ultimately learned that 40-year old Kenneth White allegedly fired the shots, including the one that
struck the victim. Yesterday, the United States Marshals Service Task Force located White on State Street and safely took him into custody.
He was transported to the Monroe County Jail, where he is currently being held after his arraignment in Rochester City Court.
Kenneth White, age 40, is charged with Assault in the 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd Degree, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd Degree.
