Murder Investigation Update

Rochester, NY - On November 2nd, 2025, at about 1:50 a.m., officers responded to the area of Gothic St. near the park for the report of gunshots fired. When officers arrived, they found 31-year- old Kitana Kendrick had been shot at least one time. She was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital by AMR and was pronounced dead a short time after arrival.

During the course of the investigation thus far, it has been determined there was an argument that escalated to the gunshots being fired. It appears Kendrick was struck by a stray round and not the intended target of the gunfire.

Kendrick was on Gothic St. with the individuals involved in the altercation, but it does not appear she was involved. Nobody involved lives on Gothic St.
