Rochester, NY - On August 21, 2022, at about 1:45 a.m. officers were called to the area of 162 Olean St. for the report of a person shot. When they arrived they found 29-year old James Hallenbeck near the sidewalk. James was dead from at least one gunshot wound to the neck, as well as blunt force trauma to the head and body.
Yesterday afternoon, 21-year old Rahjule Keeton was arrested by members of the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department Warrant Squad and the United States Marshal’s Violent Felony Fugitive Task Force during a traffic stop on a sealed indictment warrant.
That indictment was unsealed last evening in Monroe County Court charging Rahjule Keeton with Murder in the 2nd Degree, Robbery in the 1st Degree and Robbery in the 2nd Degree for robbing and killing James Hallenbeck on August 21, 2022. He is currently being held in the Monroe County Jail. His next court appearance is scheduled for Thursday at 2:00 p.m. in front of the Honorable Judge Argento.
