Incident on 7th Street

Rochester, NY- Just prior to 8 AM, Rochester Police Officers assigned to Clinton Section responded to the 100 block of Seventh Street for the report of a male threatening a female with a handgun.  On arrival officers located a 31 year old female resident whom reported that her significant other had threatened her with a handgun. 

Officers made contact with the subject, a 30 year old male city resident, whom then exited a residence there and was safely taken into custody.  The street was closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic for approximately one hour but has since re-opened.

The person in custody is charged with Menacing in the 2^nd Degree
