Hudson Avenue Menacing and Gun Arrest:

Around 3:30pm, yesterday afternoon, Officers responded to a home near Hudson Avenue for the report of a menacing. The victim reported that she was stopped at a red light in the 1400 block of Hudson Avenue when she saw a male pointing a handgun at her from a 2014 Ford Escape. In the front passenger seat of the Ford was a female that she is in an ongoing dispute with.


Later in the night, just before 7pm, Officers located the Ford Escape in the 500 block of Norton Street and conducted a traffic stop. During the stop, the male that had previously allegedly pointed a handgun at the victim was driving and the known female was in the back seat of the car, along with her six children ranging in age from an infant to nine years old. Additionally, a Taurus 9mm handgun, loaded with 16 rounds, was located in the car. Both adults were transported to the Monroe County Jail and the children were turned over to a relative.


Joshua Alvelo, age 29, is charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd and 3rd Degree, Menacing in the 2nd Degree, and six counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child. He was arraigned in Rochester City Court and is currently held on $2,500 bail.


Natividad Santana-Corcino, age 32, is charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd and 3rd Degree, and six counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child. She was arraigned in Rochester City Court and released with non-monetary conditions.
