Hollister Street Gun Arrest:

On June 28, 2025, around 6:30pm, Officers were patrolling Hollister Street when they observed a male attempt to hide a bag behind a parked car and quickly walk away. Officers checked behind the car and located the bag, along with a loaded “ghost gun” on the ground next to it. Upon seeing Officers at the bag and gun, the male began to run. Following a foot chase, Officers located the male hiding underneath an overturned garbage tote on Irondequoit Street. He was safely taken into custody without incident. The “ghost gun” was found to be loaded with seven rounds of 9mm ammunition.

Additionally, the bag contained a 9mm Glock handgun, which was loaded with 11 rounds and equipped with a switch designed to make it function as a fully automatic handgun. An additional 24 rounds of 9mm ammunition were also located in the bag. The suspect, 20-year old Aaron Johnson Jr., was transported to the Monroe County Jail.
