Rochester, NY- Around 8pm, on July 24, Goodman Section Officers were flagged down on South Avenue, near Rockingham St, by an assault victim. The victim, a female in her 60s, was suffering from non-life threatening injuries to her upper body. The preliminary investigation found that the victim is a nurse at Highland Hospital and was walking to her car when she was attacked. Additionally, this appears related to her employment as a nurse at the hospital and a customer trouble that occurred there with other staff members and a patient, a short time earlier.
Over the last several days, Officers worked with hospital staff and were able to identify 45-year old Robert White as the suspect that attacked the hospital employee. Last night, the NYS Police located White during a traffic stop and safely took him into custody. He was turned over to the Rochester Police Department and transported to the Monroe County Jail.
Robert White, age 45, is charged with two counts of Assault in the 2nd Degree. Additionally, he was served with an outstanding arrest warrant for Assault in the 3rd Degree and Harassment in the 2nd Degree relative to an incident in January 2025, in which he allegedly attacked two security guards at an apartment type building.
