Fatal Hit & Run Investigation: 636 W. Broad St.

On August 15, 2025, at about 10:30 p.m., several vehicles were traveling southbound on Broad St. near Jay St. when at least one vehicle struck the victim, who was in the roadway. After striking the victim, the vehicle continued southbound on W. Broad St.

The victim is a male believed to be in his 40s. We will be working with the Monroe County Medical Examiner's Office to confirm his identity.

Investigators are in the process of determining the victim's actions prior to the accident, as well as whether speed or other factors pertaining to the striking vehicle(s) contributed to the crash.
