Delamaine Drive Arrest

Rochester, NY- Around 9am, yesterday, Officers responded to a house on Delamaine Drive for the report of an altercation involving a machete and a gun. A short time later, a male in his 20s arrived at Rochester General Hospital suffering from non-life threatening laceration type injuries to his upper body.
The preliminary investigation found that the victim and suspect are known to each other and were involved in a dispute regarding a cell phone. The victim had gone to the suspect’s house to retrieve the phone and at some point; the suspect allegedly cut the victim with the machete and chased him out of the house with a firearm. During the investigation, the suspect was safely taken into custody and a search warrant was obtained for his house. The search located two handguns, an AR style pistol, and a machete. 20-year old Marquan Younger was transported to the Monroe County Jail and is scheduled to be arraigned this morning in Rochester City Court.

.380 caliber Guardian loaded with 4 rounds
9mm caliber AR style pistol
Marquan Young, age 20, is charged with Assault in the 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Firearm, and Menacing in the 2nd Degree.
