Clinton Ave Gun Arrest

Rochester, NY -Around 9:40pm, Officers stopped a 2003 Toyota Corolla in the 1100 block of N. Clinton Avenue for violation(s) of the Vehicle and Traffic Law. During the subsequent investigation, Officers recovered a 9mm “ghost gun”, loaded with 20 rounds in an extended magazine. Both the operator and passenger were safely taken into custody and charged as follows:

16-year old male charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd and 3rd Degree. He was arraigned just after midnight and family court and released. It should be noted that he was also arrested for Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd Degree in January for illegally possessing a firearm.

Jouseph Garcia-Hernandez, age 18, is charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd and 3rd Degree as well as multiple violations of the Vehicle and Traffic Law. He was arraigned this morning in Rochester City Court and is currently in the Monroe County Jail.
