Clifford Ave. Investigation

On 9/8/25 at approximately 1:56 a.m., members of the Rochester Police Department observed a 37 year old, male, City of Rochester resident operating a motorized scooter in violation of vehicle and traffic laws.  Officers attempted to stop this individual in the area of Bay St./Cummings St. However, he fled from officers.  As the individual fled, officers observed he was in possession of a firearm.  The fleeing individual entered a residence in the 1900 block of Clifford Ave., exited a short time later and was taken into custody. 


During the subsequent investigation officers recovered an AR style pistol as well as a handgun inside of the residence the fleeing individual entered.  Additionally, a 40 year old, male, City of Rochester resident was also located inside the residence in question. 


Both individuals were arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree.
