Celebrate Black History Month with The YMCA of Greater Rochester
The YMCA of Greater Rochester at The Thurston Road YMCA Neighborhood Center, located at 597 Thurston Road, will celebrate Black History Month during their annual Black History Celebration on Friday, February 16, 2024.
Members and staff from across area YMCAs will come together to honor African American history with shared stories and experiences.
The annual event is designed for and by the members of The Thurston Road YMCA Neighborhood Center to educate and celebrate Black history. The program will feature keynote speaker William Johnson, former Mayor of Rochester, as well as African-style drumming.
The program begins at 10:30 am, with a luncheon to follow.
