ROCHESTER, N.Y. – CooperVision has appointed Steven Robins as President, Americas, effective immediately. Robins, a healthcare industry veteran with more than 30 years of experience, brings a wealth of leadership and consulting expertise in vision care. He plans to relocate to Rochester, N.Y., where he previously lived for several years.

Most recently, Robins served as Managing Partner and Principal at New England Consulting Group, advising Fortune 500 companies in the medical device, pharmaceutical, and OTC/vitamin sectors. His work included strategic initiatives with CooperVision, such as the U.S. launch of its MiSight® 1 day contact lenses for myopia control.

Robins’ career includes key leadership roles, such as Chief Marketing Officer and President of North American Vision Care for Bausch + Lomb, General Manager of Johnson & Johnson’s Consumer Healthcare business in Canada, and Group Marketing Director for Pfizer Consumer Healthcare.

“Steven has been instrumental in advancing strategic priorities for CooperVision, including our MiSight® 1 day contact lenses,” said Debbie Olive, Chief Commercial Officer, CooperVision. “His strategic insight, passion for the industry, and ability to connect with customers make him a dynamic leader who will positively impact our Americas business.”

Robins expressed his enthusiasm for joining CooperVision, noting his longstanding appreciation for the vision care industry. “Since my introduction to ocular health nearly 20 years ago, I’ve been inspired by how this industry improves lives every day,” he said. “CooperVision is at the forefront of innovation and partnerships, and I’m honored to help drive its vision for the future.”

Robins holds a Bachelor of Arts from Bates College and completed the Pfizer Global Leadership Program in collaboration with Harvard University.

Returning to Rochester is a personal milestone for Robins, who previously raised his family there. “My wife Jill and I have many fond memories of this community, and we’re excited to reconnect with friends and continue supporting local organizations like Greater Rochester Enterprise and the American Heart Association,” he said.
