City of Rochester Public Market Kicks Off Spring and Summer Events and Offerings


The City of Rochester Public Market, located at 280 N. Union St. kicks off its spring and summer season with the return of several events series and an expanded array of market vendors to celebrate the best of Rochester’s food, beverage, arts and entertainment.


“Rochester’s Public Market brings out the vibrancy in our city and provides an important space for the community to gather,” said Mayor Malik D. Evans. “I encourage everyone to gather friends and family and enjoy the many benefits that the Market has to offer.”


Upcoming events include:

  • Community Garage Sales: 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., select Sundays from Sunday, April 16 through Sunday, Oct. 22.

  • Food Truck Rodeos: 5 to 9 p.m., Wednesdays, April 26, May 31, June 28, July 26, Aug. 30 and Sept. 27.

  • Flower City Days: 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., select dates from Sunday, May 14 through Monday, May 29.

  • Bands on the Bricks: 6 to 10 p.m., Fridays, July 7, 14, 21 and 28, Aug. 4 and 11.

  • Gospel Jubilee: 4:30 to 7 p.m., Sunday, July 30.

These special events are in addition to the Rochester Public Market’s regular year-round market days, Tuesday and Thursday from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Saturdays from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m. Springtime vendors are now returning with fresh produce, meats, eggs, cheeses, baked goods, prepared and packaged foods and more.
