Wine and Chocolate Festival Returns to Benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Rochester

The Summit Federal Credit Union will sponsor the Rochester Wine and Chocolate Festival on Saturday, March 4th, at the Dome Center in Henrietta, NY. The festival features numerous regional wine and chocolate vendors, as well as other local businesses. Two sessions of the festival will be offered: an early session from 1-4 p.m., and a later session from 5-8 p.m.

The Summit-sponsored Wine & Chocolate Festivals in Buffalo and Rochester are highly rated and always anticipated. Each event also raises funds for a local beneficiary. This year proceeds from the Rochester Wine & Chocolate festival will benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Rochester. Attendees will be invited to make a cash or mobile donation and spin the wheel for prizes at The Summit’s booth. 100% of the donations collected will go to Big Brothers Big Sisters. Additionally, $1 from the sale of each bottle of wine at the festival will go to that organization.

“The Summit is so excited to be the title sponsor of this fantastic event,” said Twanda Christensen, Vice President of Marketing and Community Engagement for The Summit Federal Credit Union. “This fun festival allows us to provide meaningful support to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Rochester while celebrating the local craft beverage and food industry.”

"The Summit Federal Credit Union has been an incredible community partner over the last two years, and we are thrilled to have been selected as their charity of choice for this year’s Chocolate and Wine Festival,” Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Rochester Chief Executive Officer Lisa Mattoon said.

“Summit Federal Credit Union whole-heartedly believes in our mission, and we are incredibly grateful for their continued support."

The Summit's Rochester branches and website will offer an opportunity to win a pass for early admission to one of the festival's sessions. Details about the contest, which runs from January 27th to February 25th, can be found at www.summitfcu.org. Winners will be announced February 27th.

Tickets to the festival, which are $35 ($15 for designated driver tickets), are on sale now at wineandchocolatefestivals.com/events/Rochester/
