Rochester, NY — On Tuesday, September 15, National Voter Registration Day will bring organizations and communities across the country together to make voter registration more accessible and encourage civic participation. The Urban League of Rochester will join this national, nonpartisan effort by hosting a Voter Registration Pop Up for Rochester residents.

The Urban League of Rochester will host its Voter Registration Pop Up on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at 265 N. Clinton Ave., Rochester, NY 14605. Community members, partners, and vendors are invited to stop by to register to vote, check their registration status, or update their voter information. Nonpartisan information about upcoming elections will also be available, along with voter registration assistance for those who need it.

“As one of the country’s oldest and largest civil rights organizations, the Urban League has a long history of protecting civil rights and expanding opportunities for communities that have too often been excluded from full participation in our democracy,” said Tiffany Owens, Interim CEO. “Protecting the right to vote is fundamental to that work. National Voter Registration Day provides an opportunity to make voter registration accessible, connect people with reliable information, and remind our community that every eligible voter has a voice.”

For the Urban League of Rochester, voter engagement is part of its broader commitment to advancing equity, defeating poverty, building community power, and defending democracy. When people have opportunities to participate in civic life and make their voices heard through voting, they are better positioned to advocate for their needs, shape public decisions, and create pathways to opportunity.

The Urban League will continue to connect residents to the civic process and ensure that eligible voters have the information and opportunity they need to participate in decisions that affect their lives, families, and communities.
