THE MONROE COUNTY MEDICAL EXAMINER’S OFFICE SEEKS ASSISTANCE IDENTIFYING DECEASED INDIVIDUAL

Rochester, NY — The Monroe County Medical Examiner’s Office is seeking the public’s help identifying a man who died on October 20, 2025 after being struck by a vehicle the previous evening while bicycling in Rochester’s Marketview Heights neighborhood.
The man was riding his bicycle northbound on Scio Street near Woodward Street around 7 p.m. on Oct. 19 when he was struck by a southbound vehicle.
The decedent is a white male, possibly Hispanic and likely in his 30s or 40s. He is approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs 144 pounds. At the time of the incident, he was wearing several rubber bracelets and rings, two necklaces and two metal bracelets. He also has a tattoo on his right lower arm that appears to be a name.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Medical Examiner’s Office at (585) 753-5905 and select Option 6. Please be prepared to provide specific information about the tattoo and/or the jewelry. Please do not report in person to the Medical Examiner’s Office, as access to the building is restricted and viewings cannot be accommodated.
