Details: Ten students from Francis Parker School No. 23 who participate in the Choose Wisdom social emotional learning group will take part in a free-throw challenge aimed at supporting families in need. This student-driven initiative encourages classmates to collect non-perishable food items for the Father Tracy Center. Each student will team up with an adult partner, such as a parent or guardian, for a friendly competition to fight hunger. The event is part of an assembly for fifth- and sixth-grade students, who will be cheering on their classmates. The entire student body is involved in the food drive, with all classes competing to collect the most donations. As part of the school’s house system, which places students and staff into one of four multi grade groups, the house that collects the most items will win a pizza party.
