Rochester, NY - Monroe County Executive Adam Bello announced today the start of spring and summer hours at Seneca Park Zoo. Beginning March 28 through October 31, the zoo will remain open one hour later, making the new hours 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
“As the snow thaws and days are growing longer, we’re excited to welcome visitors to Seneca Park Zoo for an extra hour,” said County Executive Bello. “By beginning spring and summer zoo hours in time for the start of spring break, we’re making it easier for families to spend time together and make new memories at the Zoo.”
Spring at Seneca Park Zoo is a great time for exploration and discovery as many species become more active in the warmer weather. Because of its walkable paths and a variety of indoor and outdoor exhibits to explore, the Zoo is the perfect place to get outside with family or friends. From March 28 – April 5, guests can enjoy spring break programming, including a full schedule of animal experiences, vet chats, keeper talks, and more, all week long. On Saturday, April 4, the Zoo will also hold a Spring Eggstravaganza event with egg and scavenger hunts for children of all ages. For more information visit senecaparkzoo.org/springbreak.
