Rochester, NY – The Rochester Jamaican Organization (RJO) and community partners are proud to announce “Jammin’ for Jamaica,” a three-day hurricane relief fundraiser taking place November 14–16, 2025, at Tropix Eatery & Lounge, 4775 Lake Avenue, Rochester, NY 14612. The weekend schedule is as follows:
Friday, November 14:
“Jamaica Jammin” 6 PM – 12 AM
Saturday, November 15:
“Jamaica Live” 4 PM – 12 AM
Sunday, November 16:
“Jamaica Jazz” 2 PM – 6 PM
The weekend celebration will bring together music, food, and culture to support families and communities in Jamaica affected by Hurricane Melissa. Guests can enjoy live performances, Caribbean cuisine, and vibrant island energy - all for a great cause.
RJO invites the community to make a minimum donation of $40 per night at the door, a small way to make a big difference.
“Through Jammin’ for Jamaica, we are calling on the Rochester community and friends of Jamaica everywhere to join us in extending support to those in need back home,” said Dr. Joel Frater, President of the Rochester Jamaican Organization. “We are directing 100% of funds raised for Hurricane Melissa relief to verified local and national partners, with a goal of raising $200,000.”
Those who cannot attend can make a secure donation at rochesterjamaican.org/donate.
