Robbery Arrest

Rochester, NY - On February 25, 2026, around 10am, Officers responded to Green Knolls Drive for the report of a robbery. The victim reported that he had made an arrangement on Facebook Marketplace to purchase a vehicle. An agreement was made for approximately $3,200 and they agreed to meet on Green Knolls Drive. At the meeting, the suspect threatened the victim, with what appeared to be a handgun, and stole his cash before fleeing in the vehicle that was supposed to be sold.
The preliminary investigation identified 21-year old Jahsin Robinson as the suspect and apprehension efforts began. Last night, the United States Marshal’s Violent Fugitive Task Force located the suspect in a white Mercedes and attempted to stop it. After both a vehicle and foot pursuit, Robinson was safely taken into custody in the area of N. Clinton Avenue and Upper Falls Blvd. He was transported to the Monroe County Jail and is scheduled to be arraigned this morning in Rochester City Court.
Jahsin Robinson, age 21, is charged with Robbery in the 1st Degree and Grand Larceny in the 3rd Degree.
Additional charges were filed by the New York State Police relative to the vehicle pursuit.
