More information: REF has invited 70 individuals from a variety of different careers who like their jobs, are financially independent, and give back to the community to serve as career models for students. Career models include politicians, business leaders, entrepreneurs, educators and more! They will share why they enjoy their work and the education and training needed to get to where they are.  The objective is to allow students to see some of the possibilities that lie ahead in the future and provide inspiration, excitement and hope.

The student experience includes:

  • Opportunity to interact with professionals from throughout the community

  • Tour of the MCC Campus

  • Getting to meet with MCC college students on tours and ask questions

  • Be exposed to some careers that they have heard of previously and some that are new to them. They will be inspired as they imagine their own future!

Founded in 2005, REF’s mission is to provide programs and resources to improve learning and success for all Rochester city school students through partnerships with educators, businesses, and the community. For more information, visit www.rochestereducation.org.
