R-Centers Offer Spring Break Fun for Kids


Rochester, NY - While school is out for Spring Break next week, Mayor Malik D. Evans invites students and families to head to their neighborhood R-Centers for fun activities in a safe, caring environment.

 

“When school is out, our R-Centers are ready with fun activities for kids and families,” said Mayor Evans. “Make a splash in the Jackson R-Center’s indoor pool, challenge a friend in your favorite video game, or shoot some hoops with neighbors – whatever your recreation style, we’ve got you covered.”

 

From Monday, March 30, through Thursday, April 2, four R-Centers will offer extended hours, as well as breakfast and lunch:

  • Adams St., 85 Adams St: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

  • Frederick Douglass, 999 South Ave: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

  • Trenton & Pamela Jackson, 285 N. Clinton Ave: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

  • Thomas P. Ryan, 530 Webster Ave: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

 

Other R-Centers will also offer Spring Break recreation fun on an abbreviated schedule with snack and lunch:

  • Avenue D, 200 Ave. D: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

  • Carter St, 500 Carter St: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

  • Hope, 524 Campbell St: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

  • Willie W. Lightfoot, 271 Flint St: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

  • David F. Gantt, 700 N. St: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

 

Edgerton R-Center will be closed Monday, March 30, through Friday, April 3. All R-Centers are closed on Friday, April 3, in observance of Good Friday.
