Party in the Park 2023 Series Kicks Off July 13 with Pride Night

To celebrate Rochester’s Pride Month, the first Party in the Park concert will be “Pride in the Park,” 6:30 p.m., Thursday, July 13 at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Park at Manhattan Square, 353 Court St. Downtown with headliner Ripe, and opening band, Andy Frasco & the U.N. Attendees are encouraged to come show their pride and those with the best outfits will be given VIP upgrades.


Party in the Park concerts feature a wide variety of popular national acts and some of the best local and regional talent.


“Party in the Park showcases Rochester’s vibrant Downtown and our longstanding love for music,” said Mayor Malik D. Evans. “I invite the entire community to come enjoy the world-class entertainment that has made this signature City event a valuable community favorite for 26 years and counting.”


“You can’t get any better than this—two amazing acts all in one night each week for only $7,” said series promoter Jeff Springut, CEO of Rochester Events. “All in amazing Downtown Rochester, the heartbeat of the city. We’re ready for a summer full of music, food and beverage, and friends!”


Party in the Park will continue every Thursday through Aug. 17. Each week, gates open at 6 p.m. and performances will begin at 6:30 p.m. The remaining Party in the Park concert series lineup includes:

  • July 20: Max Creek; Melvin Seals & JGB

  • July 27: Zac Brown Tribute Band; Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad

  • Aug. 3: Shamarr Allen; The Seven Wonders

  • Aug. 10: The Pete Griffith Group; Twiddle

  • Aug. 17: Joe Samba; Lettuce

General admission tickets for Party in the Park are $7 (children 12 and under are free). VIP Ultra Lounge tickets are $32, which includes your $7 admission fee, in advance (while supplies last.) Tickets are on sale starting today and can be purchased online at www.RochesterEvents.com or in-person at the Auditorium Theater, 885 E. Main St.


Returning this year to Party in the Park are the VIP Ultra Lounge, the Craft Beer Garden, a Bubbly Bar and Bazaar in the Park. The VIP Ultra Lounge provides exclusive access to a VIP Ultra Lounge with private restrooms, a full cash bar, table service, front stage access, chair massage, and a commemorative lanyard.

Craft beer lovers can enjoy the Craft Beer Garden featuring a rotating showcase of New York State’s best IPAs, ciders, stouts, and more. The Bubbly Bar will also be returning with prosecco and mimosas. There will be happy hour specials at each show from 6–7:30 p.m.


Bazaar in the Park is a weekly collective of emerging designers, vintage collectors, and artisanal products, creating a community around art, crafts, fashion, and discovery. New vendors will arrive every other week, making Bazaar at the Park a place to consistently discover new, emerging talent and creativity.


Patrons may bring one sealed bottle of water into the Party in the Park concerts. Lawn chairs, bicycles, skateboards, in-line skates, and pets are prohibited. In addition, a strict no-smoking policy will be enforced. Smokers must go to a designated area.


Parking is available at nearby parking garages including the Washington Square Garage, 111 Woodbury Blvd., the Court Street Garage, 194 Court St., the East End Garage, 475 E. Main St., and The Strong Museum, 1 Manhattan Square.


Party in the Park is a City of Rochester event produced by Rochester Events | Springut Group Inc., and sponsored by McCarthy Tents and Events, Labatt USA, Genesee Beer, Country Inn & Suites, United Business Systems, and Wilkins RV.
