Rochester NY: The Neighborhood of the Arts Business Association (NOTABA) once again celebrates the NOTA Summer Social, a neighborhood-wide celebration on Saturday, August 8. Over 25 area businesses will offer deals, giveaways, special activities, and more. All businesses in the neighborhood have designated their own hours of operations during the day with activity happening at Three Heads Brewing from 10 - 5 pm.
Neighborhood Clean Up: Starting at 9 AM, we’re teaming up with Walking For Rochester to do a mini clean up around our neighborhood. No need to register. Just show up at Three Heads at 9 AM, grab some equipment, and help clean up the surrounding streets.
NOTANA Bagel Brunch: The Neighborhood of the Arts Neighborhood Association will host a bagel brunch at Merriman Park Playground beginning at 10 am. With free bagels and coffee provided by the Bagel Shop by Fox’s, this is a family-friendly way to spend your morning. Providing free bagels and coffee until 2 pm (or until they run out). Many family-friendly activities will also be available.
Three Heads Brewing: Once again, the main hub for the Summer Social is Three Heads Brewing. With more than 10 businesses tabling at the hub, participants can learn about local resources and businesses. There will be activities and give-aways taking place from 10 am to 5 pm. The hub will be the drop-off place for raffle tickets. Winners will be notified the following week.
Around the Neighborhood: While Three Heads is your hub for the day, the Neighborhood of the Arts will be ALIVE with activity. Member organizations will have signs in their windows so attendees know where deals and events are taking place. Many businesses will offer special promotions for Summer Social attendees.
Shop Hop: Attendees receive a raffle ticket when they enter a participating business. Tickets need to be dropped off at Three Heads in order to qualify for a raffle item. A full list of participating businesses will be on social media and on our website.
Viciously Crafty Makers Market: Between 11 am - 4 pm, browse a curated market of local artists, makers, and small businesses around the block and inside the courtyard of The Factory Building.
“We’re looking forward to another fantastic festival. Folks come out and come into the city to walk our neighborhood, shop at our businesses, and explore all the cultural organizations nestled in our footprint. There’s family fun and a bagel brunch at the playground at the corner of Merriman and University, there’s raffles and games at our hub at Three Heads, and there’s a massive craft fair happening. We invite everyone to come check out this year’s Summer Social.” - NOTABA President, Chris Fanning
