Murder Update – Victim ID

Rochester, NY - On November 16, 2025 at approximately 6:30 a.m., officers responded to 484 Avenue D for a suspicious condition. Upon arrival they found a man dead in the basement of the vacant front apartment. The man has been identified as 37-year-old Aaron Johnson- Haygood. His manner of death is a homicide, the cause will not be released at this time.

Johnson-Haygood did not reside at 484 Ave D, but he was known to hang out there and was a City of Rochester resident.

The vacant apartment at 484 Ave D was actively being used to sell drugs. It appears the murder of Johnson-Haygood was likely connected to drug sales.
